What a fun game!
Ever played it? It's quite simple. First you load your cute little bundle of joy into her stroller, you make sure she is nice and warm and safe and happy. Then you take her out into the public and get on a bus. Mayhem insue!
In all seariousness it really is crazy trying to take a stroller on the bus. I think we are living in some sort of second baby boom...because there seems to be a whole lot of babies around as of late.
So today kim and I had a frustrating time getting to and from church. both times the bus was over crowded with people and strollers. I think there were about 3 on the way to church and 4 on the way home from church. It's kind of like playing tetris actually. You only hope the lady in the middle with the double stroller doesn't have to get off first...or EVERYONE on the bus has to pile off. It might be a lot more furstrating for the drivers, but all our drivers were awesome and patient today so we were lucky.
Lets see, what else is new, well we had a concert at church today. A band called "Two fish" sort of like a jazz, blues thing. Not bad. The sermon was also probally amazing...but I was having the hardest time staying awake. Not the speakers fault...just lack of sleep catching up with me.
Ariana is doing well. Her Thrush is all cleared up, her Jaundice appears better, and even her eye is nearly better. She's gonna be a nice healthy baby soon!
Thanks for the prayers and well wishes everyone!

Iknow! Buggies and busses are frustrating for everybody. Weekends are always busy because that's when families usually go shopping and travelling to various places together. I don't have an answer other than common courtesy and patience from everyone.Buying the right buggy for this type of travel is also important and something many people don't even think about. Some people have these huge cadillac buggies that can hardly fit through the door. A smaller narrower buggy is best for bus travel. Those pouches for carrying the baby on your body like a front napsack are also a good alternative. Travel with buggies during rush hour, 6:30am-9:30am and 3:30pm-6:30pm is actually against the Cities by-laws and you can be refused. Many drivers don't enforce this by-law because it causes too much trouble and is not easily enforceable by management. Just have to be patient, or if you get totally fed up, take a taxi or save up for a car. I know that's not an option for most people in Toronto, but, whatcha gonna do?? Don't worry! Be happy! Humour can go along way to making yourself a better day!
Humour and common courtesy is the only weapon I believe. That and prayer lol.
i saw a GREAT stroller on the bus the other day a young couple had -- it was apparently $59 or something close to that from Toys R Us.
It was small enough to be maneuverable on a bus (not those awful monstrosities) but it still looked really well-constructed and even high-end (they were heading for a nice part of town)... i thought they'd say it was $400 from some baby-foo-foo boutique or something, but they told me it was just from Toys R Us!
and those pouches are fantastic from what i hear -- we bought one for my sister-in-law so Matt can carry the baby as well :) custom-sized just for him!
yes the baby pouches are amazing. Kim has used ours once. But Ariana is a little young for them yet.
I wanted to go with the small stroller, but Kim's the boss and she choose the one we have. It's not too bad actually.
